Some photos of our RV in construction!!

I have been asked if we have any photos, so far, of our 5th wheel.  I was going to wait till it was completely done but decided, since I have to wait each week for updates, maybe I should send them as I get them for those that were wanting to see how it goes through the process.

So, I'll try to post them, after this, as I receive them.

Now, just so you know....the first month or so, after we left the tour, there were no updates......and I didn't really start getting photos till in July!  Had a little 'discussion' with the President of the company and told him I would rather see tiny little updates than no updates at all.

He explained that they had had a month long shut down, so that didn't help in the production but they are making lots of progress since mid July and he said he would make sure I got updated each week and he is staying true to his word.  :-)

So, here we go.....


This is the very first photo we took when we toured the RV Factory and were told this was our unit in line.

And, sure enough, it was!!

It was so hard to see it at this stage when we had thought it would be ready by mid to late June.  But, we were told it would be probably the last of July, now.

Then, we were sent the following photo weeks later.  Waiting is SO HARD!!!  And, we knew that there was no way it would be ready in July.

Then, after I talked to the President and asked to just send us ANY updates, we were sent these.....

Kind of hard to picture it.....but it IS coming together and it does help to see progress, however small.

You can see the open door to the right of the shelves..that will be my stamp room rather than a half bathroom.  The shelves to the left of that doorway are another pantry.

This was our kitchen island, before the slides were added.  

Our living room on 8-9-27  The sofa will be under that back window.  And, the slides are in.

And, that brings you to the latest update as of Wednesday August 9th.  As I said, before, we didn't start getting these updates till we were back in Yuma after his Mom passed away.

So, do we have a 'date' yet?  We haven't gotten a 'date' when they will be finished yet but we are ready when ever they do give us a pick up date.

When we started out on this journey, we had it in our minds how everything would go.....as planned.

But we were soon reminded of this Scripture in James.  Not that we were boasting .....we just had it all planned out and the Lord had different plans :-)  But, it's a great reminder to say, Lord Willing....when we make plans.

Do Not Boast About Tomorrow

13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will[g] go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; 14 whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. 15 Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.” 16 But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.

Tonight, Lord willing, my friend Rita and I are going to a stamp convention!  Can't wait!!!
