The Ark in Kentucky

On Sunday, August 12th, we went to see The Ark Encounter in Kentucky!  What a fantastic experience!!

First off, after parking your vehicle out in their massive parking lot, you walk to the ticket booths to purchase your tickets and then walk to the bus stop and wait for one of the many buses that take people up to the Ark on the hill.

This is what you see as you are driving up the long, long hill to the top.  It's massive!!!

Here is one end of the Ark so you can see just how huge it is.

And, another.

Here are some photos of the animal cages.  Possible ways that they may have stored food and animal feed, etc.

Bins of fresh vegetables that they grew.

                                                          Preparing food in the kitchen.

                                                          Noah praying with his family.
                                                               Noah rescuing a dove.

These were the walkways we walked up to each level.  There were 3 levels and you went from one to the other and then back down again.  VERY organized in how they had everyone walking in certain directions.  There were a lot of people there but the wait time to see anything was minimal.  Lots to see while you waited.
And, believe me, after walking all those levels which ended up being at least two walk ways for each level, you were ready to sit a bit :-)

And, although there was so much more I could have uploaded, it would have taken hours.  You got a glimpse, only, of how amazing it is.
This last photo was the entrance into a buffet restaurant, named after Noah's wife..
So, it is called Emzara's Restaurant.  If you go there you will NOT be disappointed.  It's an all you can eat buffet....and SO GOOD!!!

But, there is some confusion as to Noah's wife's name.  Here is a link where you can read what the Ark says about it.

So, that is pretty much 'it' for what we've been doing the last couple of weeks.  Last week we mostly stayed home as we now need to conserve on our finances.

We did get to watch the Eclipse here in OH.  Not as dramatic as where we are from but then, nowhere near the traffic either.   What a wonderful event.

I did get a cool photo, during the Eclipse of the shadows on the sidewalk.

What an amazing God we have!!!!

Hope that the next post I write will be introducing our 5th wheel....it's close....v e r y close to being finished.

I know I am going to cry!!  It's like waiting for a baby to be born!

Have a fantastic week.....

Hugs,
Char
